AquaWeb Plus (aka Iron-On Water Soluble Stabilizer) is a fabric-like stabilizer with an adhesive back to allow for hoop-less embroidery. It is perfect for lace embroidery, knits, small items, or fabrics that should not be hooped. Aquaweb Plus rinses away leaving your projects soft and pliable.
The technique (please make sure your hands are dry when working with Aquaweb Plus):
Step 1: Cut a piece of Aquaweb Plus larger than your hoop.
Step 2: Hoop with the silicone paper backing facing up, score paper with a pin forming an x and peel back to expose the tacky back of Aquaweb Plus.
Step 3: Then place item to be embroidered onto the tacky back and embroider as usual.
Step 4: Once complete, place item in water to dissolve.
Please note that:
- the iron-on product will leave a little bit of residue compared to the ordinary Water Soluble Stabilizer which completely washes out.
- after ironing, wait till the product cooled down before sewing so that way it gives time for the product to lose its tack, and then the needle will run smoothly.
We charge a flat rate of $17.00 except for 100cm x 100m backing rolls. We increase the flat rate without notifying our customers when Australia Post increases postage charges
Most of our orders weigh 1 – 3kg and our flat rate is based on what Australia Post charges us for 1 – 3kg.
We refund the difference if the freight costs less than the flat rate.
If it is safe to do so and if you give us an instruction to leave goods at your door or somewhere safe (preferably where it is not visible from the street), we have options to find the best freight cost rate (either Courier or Post service).
